It's time to improve the delivery accommodations for carriers and customers. It would be better to get mail at door and have a box with a lid that can be secured if your expecting valuables to be delivered. The package can be placed in box and carrier can close lid with locking mechanism. Providing security and protection from weather, especially in places like Oklahoma where the weather can change suddenly and winds can blow things away.
